How To #3

How To #3: Figure out your (or your soon-to-be-fiancé's) ring size!

Have you ever wondered what your ring size is? Are you thinking of proposing and you want to know what your partner's ring size is?

We've got you covered! We're here to share a few tricks we have up our sleeves to find an accurate size.

Tip #1 Make Your Own Paper Mandrel!

Do you have any rings that fit properly already? Does your partner have any rings that they currently wear? Make note of which finger they wear those rings on, put it on a paper mandrel, and draw a line where it falls on it.

Bring in the mandrel to us, and we can get an accurate sizing!

To make a paper mandrel, roll a piece of paper up like a tube with one side wider than the other. See picture.

Tip #2 Take a picture!

If you don't already have a picture of the two of you standing together, take one! Sometimes, with a simple picture, our jewelers are able to get a good estimate of a ring size based off of body size. (While this tip isn't fool proof, we're able to get a close estimate)

Disclaimer: While these are all excellent tips to get a proper ring sizing, nothing is absolutely fool proof. We are able to get an estimate using these tips. All rings are made different and sizing can vary depending on thickness of ring, and whether it is a comfort or flat fit. Please keep in mind that our bodies tend to fluctuate about a half size due to the weather, sodium intake, activity levels, etc. Therefore a sizing is never 100% perfect.
