The Vardy’s approach

We believe selling jewelry is about more than making a transaction. It’s about understanding what a piece means to someone, sharing the knowledge behind the craftsmanship, and helping each client find something that feels right for them.

If that sounds like the kind of environment you’d like to be part of, we’d love to hear from you.

Bench Jeweler — Open

Vardy’s Jewelers is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Bench Jeweler to join our in-house workshop in Cupertino.

For more than 45 years, Vardy’s has combined traditional European goldsmithing with modern technology to create, repair, restore, and transform fine jewelry.

Our bench jewelers work on a wide range of pieces, from everyday repairs and sizing to intricate custom jewelry and stone setting. This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced goldsmiths in a hands-on environment where craftsmanship and precision matter.

What you’ll do

  • Perform jewelry repairs, alterations, and restorations across a variety of fine jewelry
  • Complete ring sizing, soldering, chain and clasp repairs, and other common repairs
  • Assist with stone setting and replacement
  • Work on custom jewelry projects from production through completion
  • Polish, finish, and prepare jewelry to Vardy’s quality standards
  • Inspect completed work for craftsmanship, security, and finish
  • Work with gold, platinum, silver, and other precious metals
  • Collaborate with sales associates and other members of the workshop to understand project requirements
  • Work alongside our goldsmiths on more complex repairs and custom projects
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workbench
  • Handle client jewelry with care and attention to detail
  • Help troubleshoot and determine the best approach for challenging repairs or restoration projects

What we’re looking for

  • Previous bench jewelry or goldsmithing experience
  • Strong understanding of jewelry construction and repair techniques
  • Experience working with precious metals
  • Experience with jewelry sizing, soldering, polishing, and basic repairs
  • Strong attention to detail and a high standard of craftsmanship
  • Ability to work carefully and efficiently while maintaining quality
  • Good hand-eye coordination and comfort working with small, detailed pieces
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
  • Professional, dependable, and respectful approach to client property
  • Experience with stone setting, laser welding, casting, CAD, or other advanced jewelry techniques is a plus.

The Vardy’s Workshop

Our workshop is at the heart of what makes Vardy’s different.

Rather than sending every project away, our team handles much of the work in-house, allowing our craftspeople to be closely connected to the jewelry and the clients who entrust it to us.

You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced goldsmiths and contribute to repairs, restorations, custom creations, and one-of-a-kind pieces that will become part of someone’s story.

If you take pride in meticulous work and want to be part of a team where craftsmanship comes first, we’d love to hear from you.
